Hello, my name is Jana. I have been a registered dental hygienist for 18 years and in dentistry for 22 years. As a dental hygienist, I am compassionate and thorough yet very gentle. My goal is to educate and guide you in achieving and maintaining your optimal oral health.
My education began at UNC Greensboro where I received a Bachelor of Arts in biology. I began my dental education at UNC Chapel Hill and completed my Associate of Arts in dental hygiene at the Community College of Baltimore. My husbands job moved us several times over the years which afforded me the opportunity to practice in a variety of office settings including pediatrics, general dentistry, periodontics and managed care clinics. Continuing education courses keep me current on the fascinating advances in dental treatment options available to you.
My husband Tom and I have been married for 21 years and have a lovely daughter. She keeps us busy with her activities in karate and as a Brownie. We have the most laid-back cat, Fluffy, and the sweetest long-haired dachshund, Buddy. We enjoy all sports from football to NASCAR but especially college basketball. I enjoy entertaining, going to tea, and living life to the fullest.
